Owner, Wearer of Many Hats, 20+ years

When I’m not working at Vital Choice, I operate a successful chauffeur service for my son, Ethan. My wife Kim and I were married the same year Vital Choice opened (that was some year!) and still enjoy many of the same things today that we did then, not the least of which is a good laugh.

When I’m not at work or eating kale, I’m most happy spending time with my two children and exploring nature, zoos and museums with them. I also have a passion for dance and enjoy playing the piano and the highs and lows of Cleveland sports. I provide direct customer education, private consultation by appointment and helped develop and implement the PEP training program.

Patrick Healey, ND
Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Healey is a naturopathic doctor (N.D.) and graduate from the accredited naturopathic medical school, the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) (formerly the National College of Natural Medicine). As a naturopathic doctor, Dr. Healey attended a four-year, graduate-level naturopathic medical school and was educated in the same basic sciences as a conventional medical doctor, but he also studied holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. In addition to studying the standard medical curriculum, Dr. Healey also studied clinical nutrition, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, hydrotherapy, physical medicine, environmental medicine, and lifestyle medicine. He passed rigorous professional licensing exams so that he may be licensed by a state or jurisdiction as a primary care provider. Dr. Healey is licensed in the state of Oregon as a naturopathic doctor.

His philosophy is that the human body is the most amazing, complex, and intricately designed, work of art and has the innate ability to heal itself. He believes his job as a naturopathic doctor is to support and stimulate the body’s natural healing processes and he does this through the use of gentle, effective therapies and treatments including: nutrition, botanicals, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, lifestyle modification, and physical medicine, just to name a few.

Nutrition Specialist, 4+ years

I'm excited to be back at Vital Choice after taking the last two years to focus on my education. In May, 2018, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Kent State University and a minor in Community Health Education. I am also a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES®). In my spare time I enjoy cooking, yoga, hiking, biking, and reading a good book, (I’m a HUGE Harry Potter fan). I'm looking forward to getting back to working with customers to help them improve and maintain their overall health and wellbeing while I await placement for my dietetic internship!

As a retired second grade teacher, I take pride in the knowledge that I positively affect the quality of people’s lives by helping them make educated decisions about their health.  Outside of Vital Choice, I mentor in Strongsville Schools, play percussion in the First Lutheran Church’s band, work out at the gym, and love my three cats. The PEP education program keeps my second grade teacher’s brain active.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy playing tennis and spending time with friends and family. Currently, I’m waiting to hear back from grad schools. I’m hoping to be accepted into a physician assistant program. I’m excited to use the knowledge I’ve gained at Vital Choice in my future career.

Denise V.
Assistant Manager, 1+ years, Marketing Assistant 10+ years

I have been a part of the Vital Choice team for over 10 years, behind the scenes, as a Marketing Assistant. Recently, I've added to my role and now you can find me at the store as a Health Assistant.

I am eager to learn more and more every day, so that I am able to help people on their journey to feeling better and improved health.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my kids, 17 and 13 years; really trying to squeeze in time with my son before he goes off to college! I am also a dedicated volunteer for multiple youth and community groups.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”  –Anne Frank

In my "extra" free time (ha!), I enjoy all types of crafting, geocaching, and reading.

I look forward to talking with you!
